A Clean Heart (2)

Create in me a clean heart. Psalm 51:10

In our own feeble ways we may trek through the vast emptiness that sometimes epitomizes life as we know it. A “trial and error” approach has often left us worse off than when we started. We carried out schemes we know in retrospect were not the best plans. We’ve made a mess of our lives and are seeking ways to clean it up.

It is to you with the dirty life that Jesus comes to save. Digging His hands right in to the muck and mess you sometimes feel is overcoming you, He pulls you back up. Brings you to safety. Wipes the mud and tears from your face. Wraps His own warm cloak around you. Walks you back into your life and begins cleaning with you. He forgives you for the poor plans you’ve carried out. He strengthens you to forgive yourself and others.

Dear Jesus, thank you for making me clean; help me forgive. Amen.
