Unwearied

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary. Isaiah 40:28

Avoiding all “awkward pauses”, we strive to keep a conversation going, even if with gratuitous chaff. We treat life the same way. The ultimate indiscretion for our culture seems to be boredom. Thou shall not allow yourself an awkwardly idle moment because there’s certainly something you could be doing. And just when you think you have boredom banished, all of a sudden you realize you’re not all that into whatever distraction you’re currently allowing yourself. Back to square one.

Incomprehensible, then, is a God who never grows weary . . . of anything; not least of all, you. The Lord knows your every concern and has made them His own. Looking to the God-sent Savior, Jesus untiringly focused His complete and undivided attention on what it would take to make you His. It took the cross. He took the cross. For you.

Jesus, thank you for your loving attention. Amen.
