For this reason I bow my knees before the Father . . . that you be strengthened with power through His Spirit . . . that Christ may dwell in your hearts . . . that you may have strength to comprehend with all the saints . . . and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. (Ephesians 3:14-19)
Don’t just read today’s devotion. Do read it; but don’t stop there. First, know that I have prayed for you. I have prayed, as Paul prayed for the Ephesians, that you will receive strength to persevere. That Christ would again take up residence within your heart, evicting whatever former tenant may have long resided there. That you be numbered with the saints and know what they know: true strength is found only in the Crucified and Resurrected Savior Jesus Christ. That you would receive and know the incomprehensible love of Jesus.
Now you’ve read it. Ponder it. Reflect upon it. For whom could you pray the same?
Dear Jesus, grant your love to all who hear your Word. Come to us! Amen.
